Below are the abstract of the First Trimster Ultrasound report

First Trimster Ultrasound:


Fetal heart action positive

Crown-rump legth (CRL) 61.0mm

Biparietal diameter (BPD) 19.9mm

Femur length (FL) 6.0mm

Nuchal translucency 2.0mm


Estimated risk at 10-14 weeks gestation Trisomy 21 Trisomy 13/18


Background risk 1 : 754 1 : 1361

Adjusted risk 1 : 1963 1: 6972


The fine note of the test report...


1) This ultrasound risk assessment detects up to 85% of all fetuses with Trisomy 21.


2) A risk cut-off of > or = 1 : 300 is used to determine a pregnancy at high risk of Trisomy 21.

5th Scan

This afternoon, Dr Adrian clinic called mummy to say the DS test's result is ok...mummy called daddy to say so also...thank you Lord.

At nite daddy and mummy went to see dr adrian.

Waited for sometime...due to the huge crowd...daddy and mummy went to ya kun for a light snack first...and chat for awhile.

Went back to dr adrian there about 7.45pm...nurse evelyn called mummy to say her turn soon...we went back...after a couple our turn already.

dr adrian: the test's results ok...'super sonic speed' toking...this number is normal...that number is normal...ANY QUESTIONS?...imgaine 60km/h road the car zoom at 200km/h...hehe

daddy said...the gender of baby can check.

dr adrain said to mummy to lay on the bed to do ultrasound...check check...daddy ask...oh the head area har...dr adrian said no lar...this is pi pi...buttoks...hehe...still cannot see yet...come back 3 weeks time...we will try again...hehe

dr adrian ask mummy how is morning sickness...mummy now merlion lesser but once a while when 'inspiration' comes still will be a great merlion!...dr adrian also reminds mummy to take the multi-vits and folic acid pills...hehe...the truth is mummy forget to eat for the past couple of days...hehe...since chinese new year hoilday period...hehe

will go back to see doctor in 3 weeks time...on 23 feb 07...below is today's scan...baby is abt 8 cm...hehe...dr adrian said everything is normal :)

11-14 Weeks Ultrasound Scan (Nuchal Translucency)

The time was nearly 4pm before reaching our turn...the nurse called Mummy's name...both of us went in.

Mummy lay down on the small bed...put gel...the doc came in and scan...oh...cannot scan first...baby is in sitting position...Daddy went huh...what sitting posture...hehe...got difference one meh?

then doc explain for this test...6 things to fufil...must be laying down position for bb...away from the wall...blah blah...cant remember for the rest...hehe...the doctor said...go out and urine first...drink water and wait again.

Mummy went toilet and drink some water then wait again...go in...another doc...still the same comments...sitting position...wah...stubborn baby..hehe

out Mummy goes and wait again...before 5pm...go in again...can scan already...semi sit semi laying down position...the doc 'shake' Mummy a bit...slowly she does the scan...and hao lian...see we no fail doing this test...if not daddy and mummy need to come back another day

the neck distance from the wall is abt 2mm
current bb size 6cm
chances of DS in bb is abt 1:1900

that is good news...though not 100%...but still great news! Thank you Lord!

Change of DS appointment

The DS appointment is changed from 16 to 15...timing is 1530 hrs...TMC

Will go to see Dr Adrian on 27 feb :)

Fourth Scan


Today went for the regular checkup...Dr Adrian asked his famous question..."Everything OK?"...Mummy said ok...Daddy also say ok...hehe...Thank you Lord...All is well!...Dr Adrian said lay on the bed...scanning time...hehe
Dr Adrian said...everything ok...bb is growing fine...now the size of baby is 4.5cm
Here is head...here are the hands...here are the legs...here is the heart beat...hehe
Dr Adrian then asked...know what is down syndrome...then Daddy and Mummy went yeah...want to do test or not?...ok...will do the test...the date is on 16 Feb...timing to be confirmed...then draw some blood for tests.
Out we go...hehe...very fast one...less than 10 minutes...today the red hair nurse not in...hehe...the nurses today quite blur one...hehe...also good lar...the red hair nurse quite fierce one lor...hehe...joking lar! :)
